Creating PDFs

 This workshop demonstrates various techniques in turning a document – including your resume --into a PDF format.  Using the PDF file format ensures that the document’s formatting will remain unchanged when the file is exchanged among different computer systems or software. 

Topics covered include:

• History of the Portable Document Format
• Advantages and Disadvantages to converting your resume to a PDF file
• Obtaining Microsoft’s Add-in to convert files using MS Word 2007
• A review of freeware for PDF conversion
• Using online conversion tools

Although it is not required, customers are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume on a floppy disk or flash drive.
