Veteran Services
Definition of Priority of Service to Veterans
The Career Center of Lowell provides veterans (and other covered individuals) with priority of service ( Jobs for Veterans Act). When a customer comes to the center they should notify the member of the reception team who will direct them to the Veterans’ Representative. We maintain that veterans have priority of service for our workshops, receiving unemployment services, and in obtaining training resources for veterans meeting all other eligibility requirements.
Any person who identifies himself or herself as a veteran (or spouse or dependent child of a veteran killed in combat, or of a 100% disabled veteran whose disability is service connected, or of a member on active duty who is listed as missing in action, captured in the line of duty, or forcibly detained) shall be considered for priority of services.
The local Career Center Veterans’ Representative will obtain necessary documentation to verify eligibility training funds/services.
Any questions regarding Priority of Services should be directed to the Career Center Veterans’ Representative or Career Center Manager
