WORK OPPORTUNITY TAX CREDIT
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) provides employers with a tax credit between $1,200 and $9,000 for hiring and retaining an eligible candidate for at least 120 hours.
Eligible candidates include:
- Qualified Veterans
- Qualified Recipients of Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC)
- Qualified Ex-Felons
- Designated Community Resident
- Vocational Rehabilitation Referrals
- Qualified Food Stamp Recipients
- Qualified SSI Recipients
- Summer Youth Employee
